39th Kansai Aikido-kyogi Championship / 1st All Japan Aikido-kyogi Championship report
These championships were held on Sunday 16th November 2014. Over 200 players entried to the championships and some of them came from overseas, Spain and Australia. And also Mr. Alan Higgs who is a key person of 2015 Aikido World Chmpionships in Gold Coast (Australia), joined as a regeree. The Kansai Aikido-kyogi Championship has started as a place to show the benefit of usual practice. It is good oppotunity to do embu in front of audience especially for non-dan grades. Three team were still competing after final round-robin. So the additional special event has been carried out. Each pairs from each finalist team choosed 5 techniques for free style embu. Supprisingly the first waza of all of them was shomen ate against shomen tsuki! Some players injured at randori games. Almost of the injuries are caused of foul play. I hope that players (who hurt the opponents) stop solving the lack of aikido skill by foul play. They should practise basic more and choose suitable step of practise. Anyway the championships completed successfully by many volunteer staff. Thank you all! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
